ACTA Advocacy Campaign

In response to Canada's federal election, ACTA is announcing Operation Survival: Phase II. Now more than ever, ACTA is urging travel agency owners, managers, travel agents and independent travel agents to engage in grassroots advocacy efforts by meeting with Members of Parliament, candidates, and other decision-makers to make sectoral support an election issue. We want to ensure that Travel, Tourism and Travel Agent issues are election issues.

In addition to the advocacy initiatives and meetings ACTA holds with government and politicians, we are calling on travel agency owners, managers, travel agents and independent travel agents to once again hold meetings with their local politicians and election candidates.  We are working with other travel and tourism associations on this effort across Canada and our combined goals is for the Associations and their Members to have 1,000 meetings per week between now and September 20th. ACTA’s goal is to contribute a combined 150 meetings during the election period to this effort. This work is critical in ensuring travel, tourism, and travel agent business survival is an election issue.
