Halifax Stanfield Takes a Bow on World Stage
Halifax Stanfield has been rated by passengers as one of the world’s best airports.
In March, it was announced that Halifax Stanfield had tied for third best for overall passenger satisfaction in North America in the 2016 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) ratings.
Yesterday, Joyce Carter, HIAA President & CEO, and Wadih Fares, Chair of the HIAA Board of Directors, received the award while attending the ACI Africa/World Annual General Assembly in Port Louis, Mauritius (East Africa).
“I’m delighted to have accepted this award on behalf of the entire Halifax Stanfield community,” says Carter. “Being acknowledged by our passengers is a true honour. We believe recognition like this comes as a result of great cooperation and collaboration among everyone in our airport community and these awards validate our unique approach to the customer experience.”
Managed by Airports Council International (ACI), ASQ is the world-renowned and globally established customer service benchmarking program measuring passenger satisfaction. The ASQ program provides research tools and management information to over 300 participating airports worldwide – accounting for 80 per cent of world air traffic – to better understand passengers’ views and what they want from an airport’s products and services.
ASQ awards are presented to airports whose passengers have rated them the highest over the course of a year, based on their demonstrated commitment to providing an excellent customer experience. Through its years in this global airport ranking program, Halifax Stanfield has earned a total of 29 awards – 16 first place, eight second place and five third place
