When it comes to winter weather at Toronto Pearson, the safety of both our passengers and employees is our top priority. In times of extreme cold, outdoor workers require more frequent breaks to stay warm, and machinery may take longer to warm up. And of course, in winter, aircraft deicing is a crucial step toward ensuring a safe takeoff. Ice and frost can form on critical surfaces, which must then be deiced to remove the contamination. We thank our valued passengers as we work hard every day in cooperation with our airline partners to ensure every journey begins and ends safely.
