The travel and tourism sector demonstrated remarkable resilience in 2023, with the industry group achieving record-breaking operating revenue of $15.2 billion, marking a substantial 53.5% increase from the previous year and surpassing pre-pandemic levels by 3.8%. Tour operators dominated the market with $9.1 billion in revenue, representing 59.7% of the total, while travel agencies showed the strongest recovery among all segments, with revenues reaching $2.8 billion—an impressive 55.5% year-over-year growth and 11.6% above pre-pandemic figures. The other travel arrangement and reservation services segment also performed well, generating $3.3 billion in revenue, up 20.8% from the previous year and exceeding pre-pandemic levels by 9.0%.
