Canada Summer Jobs 2025: Applications Now Open for Employers

The Government of Canada has launched the employer application period for the 2025 Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program, aiming to create 70,000 summer job opportunities for youth across the country. Private sector organizations with 50 or fewer employees, non-profits, and public sector employers can apply for funding until December 19, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PST. Full-time positions will begin April 21, 2025.

Travel agencies meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply for this funding opportunity. The program covers up to 50% of minimum wage for private sector employers and up to 100% for non-profit organizations. For 2025, CSJ prioritizes hiring youth with disabilities, Black and racialized youth, Indigenous youth, 2SLGBTQI+ youth, and youth in rural and remote areas.
